Happy New Year!
Wednesday 11th January 2012
Bring on 2012! Very excited for this upcoming year! Hope all of you had a lovely holiday and I wish you all a fantastic year ahead. We were away in Egypt taking in some much needed sunshine! It was glorious. Now back to the grime. This year I will be getting back into blogging about all of the things I love. I’ll also be blogging for Kids Company, a London charity, which I’m really excited about. Here are a few pics from our holidays! Send you lots of love x
Christmas Corner at Our House
Tuesday 29th November 2011
Here’s our christmas corner at our house. We’re going for the scandinavian look this year. My husband had a really cool idea for wrapping paper. He brought home a newspaper from Hong Kong to use for gift wrapping and I must say it does look cool! I like mix and maxing gift wrap so I thew some parcel paper and silver/grey printed paper in there as well. So think about maybe recycling those old papers for gift wrapping!
Big Changes For Little Lunalu
Friday 25th November 2011
Hi Friends! I just wanted to fill you in on what’s going on with Little Lunalu. As you can see we no longer have a webshop. We had a fabulous ride and we couldn’t have done it all without you guys! I will keep the blog as I just love scouring the internet for inspiring things/people and get excited about sharing them with all of you. I’m also going to be working on a few other projects on the side which you’ll be hearing about in due time. I feel so grateful for the love and support we’ve had over the last few years. Thank you for making Little Lunalu the success that it was. I hope that you’ll continue to support us in the blog. Get ready for some serious blogging coming your way! Hope you have a lovely weekend. Lots of Love, Adina P.S. We really DID have THE BEST CUSTOMERS in the PLANET!!!!!
Giving Thanks
Wednesday 23rd November 2011
One of the things I love about being a Mama is that I get to make up our own family traditions. One of which is to give thanks to the local police and firemen every year. This year we’ll be making yummy white oreo truffles and chocolate chip cookies (4 dozen!!) to give to them. I’ve also asked the nursery where Luna attends to get the kids to make cards/pictures for them. I take any opportunity I can to teach Luna about the importance of giving and this is just one way where it can also be fun and interactive. I encourage you guys to do something with your little ones to give back to the community in this time of thanks/holiday. Get your aprons on and have a fun messy time with the kids in the spirit of giving.
Typical Day in the Life of Luna
Friday 18th November 2011
Don’t you just love how imaginative kids are? Luna comes home from Nursery and she goes straight to the dress up box. She can’t have lunch without being in character. These days she’s into fairies, princesses and animals. Everyone around her must get into theme too of course. So you ring our door bell and you never know what you’re gonna find. The post man thinks it’s just hilarious. Yesterday Luna had a friend over from school. She told her friend she had to be tinkerbell because she has yellow hair and Luna had to be snow white because she has black hair. And then once they were in full costume they ran around the house making an imaginative adventure. Love a house filled with giggles. It’s contagious isn’t it!?
3 Day Cleanse/Juicing Experiment
Tuesday 15th November 2011
I am about to embark on a 3 day cleanse of only juices. I’ve never actually dieted or done one of these sorts of ‘cleanses’ and I have to say I’m actually nervous! I don’t have a lot of will power when it comes to food. But I really think it would be good to have a cleansing of the system and sort of reset my whole relationship with food. I went and purchased all my goodies to get me going on the juicing experiment and I will report back on what happens in the next 3 days! Wish me luck!
Perfect Artwork Showcase
Friday 11th November 2011
I don’t know if you’re with me on this but Luna seriously comes home from nursery with tons of painting/drawing/mysterious ‘works of art’. I never have enough place to hang them and I feel like there’s just something wrong with tossing them in the bin. But after wall space is filled and I’ve already saved as many as I can in her special box of keepsakes I just don’t know what to do! Well ladies I’ve just spotted a great idea!!!! Check this photo out. They’ve gotten tons of the child’s art and shrunken it down and made 1 giant work of art showcasing all the child’s work! BRILL-IANT! Love it.
Luna the Cow
Tuesday 8th November 2011
Luna is going to be a cow in her nativity play at nursery. She isn’t exactly thrilled can you tell? She keeps coming home saying ‘mummy I don’t want to be a cow, I want to be a pretty sparkly star like the other girls.’ I keep telling her the cow will be the hit of the show and cows can be pretty and sparkly too! So I have to somehow make this cow costume glitter!
My New Desk Area
Wednesday 2nd November 2011
I have finally gotten around to finishing working on the decor of our home. First up is the sitting room/office. Considering how much time I spend at the desk, I thought it would make sense to make it happy and inspiring. I created a mood board with fav photos and meaningful things. It makes me smile to see it. The best part is that the MT tape can be removed and re-used so I just move things around or add/remove as I need. It’s fun. I highly suggest it. xx
Happy Halloween Everyone
Monday 31st October 2011
Happy Halloween from me and my little monsters. Here in London Halloween isn’t as big of a deal but we got into the spirit. Check out the bats Luna and I made and it’s a First Halloween for Nico and Daddy! He’s Italian and has never celebrated! He carved his first pumpkin! It was fun getting the house ready for tonight’s trick or treaters. P.S. These snaps were taken just seconds before Nico had an explosive diarrhea episode. It was madness. You guys know what I"m talking about. I’m sure you’ve all been there. Then he vomited all over us. That bit we are used to though. Oh the joys of motherhoood.
