Pushpa Basnet an Inspirational Woman

I like to highlight the good that is being done in the world. With so much focus on the horrible people and horrible things happening in our world today taking up all the time on news, I thought I would start bringing to light the wonderful people doing magnificent things to make our world a better place. First up is the lovely Pushpa Basnet from Nepal. She was CNN’s hero of the year for 2012. At just 21 years old she started her journey to save children in Nepal from spending their childhood behind bars. In Nepal, adults being incarcerated had to choose between bringing their children with them to prison or leaving them to live on the streets if there were no other legal guardians to take care of them.
