Fred and Fred Chimpsticks
Thursday 17th May 2012
I’ve just gotten these fun ‘chimpstick’ chopsticks from Fred and Friends for the kids. They absolutely love them. You can purchase them on amazon. A friend of mine actually makes sushi every friday for her kids. She uses cooked fish (tuna or salmon) and cucumber and avocado to stuff them but you can use anything!

Tragedy in my local area of London
Tuesday 15th May 2012
Post Natal Depression is such a serious issue. Although there is definitely more attention on the matter in recent years, I definitely believe it should be mandatory that all birthing prep courses discuss it. I think if people are more aware of the signs of PND then so many tragedies could perhaps be prevented. In my local area of London called ‘Nappy Valley’ a woman has thought to have suffered from PND and killed her 2 young babies (a ten week old baby boy and a 1 yr old girl) afterwards she tried to harm herself. For the full story please read here. There has been a lot of support for the young family on the nappy valley website. I too suffered from mild Post Natal Depression but I never wanted to harm my own children thank God. But I really believe that if others around were more aware of the signs they could help women get the help they so desperately need.

Heating on in May and Decor Inspiration
Monday 14th May 2012
Sitting here with a cold. Sick as ever. It’s mid may in London! I’ve got the heater on. I mean what’s wrong with this picture. I’m so not cut out for English weather. Praying for sunshine over here. Anyway, on another note…I wanted to share this cool idea from Ikea. I like these Ribba photo rails. It’s great to use in a room if you’re someone like me who changes your mind about what you want and where you want. This way there aren’t millions of holes in the wall. Just change the art/photos depending on your mood! I’m currently doing this in our office/sitting room. Will post the photos after completed! So fun.

This Week’s Super Mama
Monday 7th May 2012
This week’s interview with Snjeza Barrack aka Matilda’s mum.
Child: Matilda, 1 year old
Profession: Libel Lawyer
Recent baby story: Matilda recently learned to say “tata” (“daddy” in serbian) and today she turned and pointed to our gardener (who btw looks almost like the one from desperate housewives) and starting shouting “tata, tata, tata” which made me blush as he kept asking “what is she saying?”.
How do you balance your time as a wife, mother, professional? It’s much harder then I thought it would be…. I have been neglecting my husband recently-so I am told!..or maybe its just men not handling the new addition in the family… it helps that I work three days a week so I consider myself very lucky- it’s a good balance… So far so good!
Favorite park: I’ve recently moved near battersea and I love the park there! It has a baby zoo and great playgrounds and is surrounded by bridges and planes are landing nearby- both of which matilda is currently obsessed with!
Favorite child friendly restaurant in London: I haven’t taken her to restaurants in England much. More so on holidays abroad where it was a bit more child friendly, as we normally hang out in the parks when we are together, but there is a great italian deli/coffee shop la bottega in chelsea and we go there first thing in the morning for a coffee/babychino fix- babychinos was one thing I promissed myself I wouldn’t be doing before I had a baby…like many other things, as a parent, you do things you never dreamed of doing….like ordering a babychino!!!
